By this stage of your pregnancy, your baby’s ears are starting to develop, and they are able to respond to sounds. Their skin looks red and wrinkled.
You are almost half way through your pregnancy. You may be experiencing constipation at this stage and you may also have piles. Eating foods high in fibre and drinking plenty of fluids can help. If it doesn’t then you can go and speak to your local pharmacist or your GP about constipation relief and piles creams.
Around this time, you will need to start thinking about your maternity/paternity/adoption/shared parental leave options. It is usually the 8 week period between week 18 and week 25 of your pregnancy that are used to calculate your average working hours that go into calculating your Statutory Maternity Pay. To calculate what your options are you can use this government calculator: https://www.gov.uk/pay-leave-for-parents
