Development of Baby

Your baby is now starting to store fat and iron within their body, getting themselves ready for life outside of the womb. This means their physical appearance will begin to change significantly over the upcoming weeks as their body will become rounder and fuller.

Maternal Symptoms

You may be experiencing a wide range of symptoms at this time, or none at all. You may find that your skin has become oily and spotty due to the change in hormones in your body. This is normal, however you may need to adjust your skincare routine to compensate for the change in your skin type.

Things to Consider

Your 31 week appointment is coming up shortly. During this appointment the usual urine test, blood pressure check, SFH measurement, and foetal heartrate will be checked. The results from your 28 week tests will be discussed. It is common that around this time your Midwife will also start to palpate your abdomen to determine the position of your baby.
