Development of Baby

Over the next few weeks your baby will gain weight fast, around 25g a day making their body more rounded the longer they spend in utero.

Maternal Symptoms

As your baby starts to gain weight more quickly in this final stretch towards birth you may start to feel bigger and slower in what you do. You may find that your discharge begins to increase again and that things like painting your toenails or putting on socks become more of a challenge. Continue to listen to your body and pay attention to your physical, mental, and emotional wellness.

Things to Consider

Continue to pay attention to your baby’s pattern of movement, which should now be well established. As you move through the third trimester you may find that it starts to feel that there isn’t much space for both you and baby within your body. Breathing techniques and meditation can be useful tools to create a feeling of calm for both of you during this period.
