Your baby’s eyelids can now open and they will start to imitate blinking movements. They will also start to close their eyes as they go through a sleep cycle and open them whilst they are awake.
Your baby’s pattern of movements should now be well established, and you will be aware of times when they are awake and when they are sleeping. You may still be sleeping through the night; however, you may be starting to wake in the night. Consider keeping water next to your bed in case you wake up feeling thirsty.
This is commonly the latest point to inform your employer that you are pregnant, to complete your work risk assessment, and let your employer know when you plan to start taking leave. As a partner, this is also usually the last week to let your employer know if you are intending on taking paternity, adoption, or shared parental leave.
