Your baby’s fingerprints, and the creases of the palms of their hands, are now fully formed.
It is common to start experiencing vivid dreams at this stage of pregnancy, although some people start experiencing them much earlier on. Although they may be meaningless, they may also link to unmet needs and unexplored anxieties that you have. If you are experiencing vivid dreams, talk them through with your birth partner or support person to identify if there are unmet needs or anxieties, and if so, how you can address them in the upcoming weeks.
Next week is your 36 week appointment. It is usually during this appointment that you will go through your birth preferences document, discuss infant feeding options, and receive information around your hospitals policies and procedures for what happens when you go home after birth (or who comes to visit you if you have had a homebirth). It is helpful to prepare for this appointment by completing your antenatal education to help you have an informed conversation. If you have a lot of questions it is best to phone your Midwife or Maternity unit in advance to book a double appointment as to not have to rush through your points.
